At Stikado we always seek to answer the question "what can we do to better protect human rights and to ensure a positive future for humanity"? Your donation will help us fund our strategic human rights activism and make progress in this work.
We create our own initiatives and we support various projects, individuals, organizations and movements around the world that have as a goal the protection of human rights. In order to have an impact on promoting the respect for human rights, we have to convince people, companies and public authorities. With your help we can realize projects, provide direct financial support to relevant initiatives and keep our organization running. We always aim to keep administrative costs at a minimum.
With the rise of nationalism, racism, and xenophobia and with the many growing dictatorships and ongoing wars around the world, the attack on human rights is the greatest crisis of our humanity. It is essential to take big steps now in order to be able to stop the catastrophic consequences of human rights violations or reduce them as much as possible.
We are committed to protecting human rights in a variety of ways. In doing so, we rely primarily on advocacy, on growing the capacity of non-governmental organizations, on empowering individuals and on pushing for changes in public policies. In order to have a strong impact, we mobilize and inform as many people as possible, who want to drive social positive change.
All of our work is currently funded by donations. The money comes from different donors who donate to us either regularly or on specific occasions. Our donors include individuals, but also organizations, foundations and companies.
We plan a variety of projects and we provide different consultancy services that help make organizations and individuals stronger in defending human rights and in making communities more inclusive. We provide direct funding, we help with capacity building advises, we create initiatives on topics where we can make the biggest positive difference.
We plan our work very carefully and we review our projects and our services regularly to make sure they are providing the best value for money and maximum impact. For this reason, we prefer to use donations to fund whichever of our initiatives are most in need, but if you would like us to use your gift towards a specific aspect of our work we will comply wherever possible.
We use Stripe, which is one of the world's largest online payment processing platforms. All donations are processed through their secure server.
